Two men charged with manslaughter in relation to the fatal fentanyl overdose of Lorraine Denise Dawley

Simcoe police have charged Jeffery Steven McLean, 45, and Michael Anthony Long, 53, with manslaughter following the investigation into the death of Lorraine Denise Dawley, 55.

Dawley was found unresponsive in an apartment on Norfolk Street South on May 4th. She was declared deceased at the scene of a fentanyl overdose.

Both McLean and Long were previously charged with trafficking in a controlled substance in connection to Dawley’s death, but those charges have since been upgraded to manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death.
