Roger Seeseequon Killed in South Tallcree First Nation, Alberta; Ricky Seeseequon Charged With Second-Degree Murder

Police are investigating a homicide in South Tallcree First Nation after 39-year-old Roger Seeseequon was found dead on August 16th.

Officers responded to a report of a deceased man at around 8 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound.

The man was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton, where an examination determined that his death was a homicide.

Police identified a suspect in the case and arrested him Monday.

Ricky Seeseequon, 52, has been charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 25.

South Tallcree First Nation is located approximately 520 kilometres north of Edmonton.
