Thunder Bay, Ontario 2026 Homicide Victim List

On August 15, 2026, officers from the Primary Response Unit responded to a business on Dawson Road after receiving reports of an assault. A search of the surrounding area led officers to an injured woman, who was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Two days later, on August 17, the victim died from injuries sustained in the incident.

As a result, 29-year-old Sheyenne Achneepineskum and 30-year-old Aaron Beaver, both of Thunder Bay, have each been charged with manslaughter.

Both accused appeared in court and were remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released further details at this time.
