Oshawa police responded to a residential address near Bloor Street East and Wilson Road South in Oshawa for unknown trouble call on July 15th at approximately 5:40am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a deceased man in the home. Police have not released his identity or cause of death.

A male was taken into custody at the time of the incident for aggravated assault and the homicide unit was called in.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the death of the male are currently being investigated. During the investigation, the male who was in police custody was released unconditionally. Homicide investigators have taken carriage of the investigation.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, that have video surveillance, or any information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit.
