Edmonton police announced on July 14th that the disappearance of a 41-year-old male reported missing to police in May is now being investigated by the EPS Homicide Section.

Police believe that foul play may be involved in the disappearance of Barry Bedard, who was last seen on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the area of 118 Avenue and 50 Street. He was reported missing to police on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Bedard is described as an Indigenous male, 6’2” tall, 202 lbs, with brown eyes and short brown hair. He also has several tattoos on his body, including a 118 Alpha tattoo on his neck. Bedard’s disappearance is considered out of character, and thus police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.
