Montreal police responded to the report of a shooting at to the intersection of Hérisson and Thérèse-Casgrain avenue on March 20th at 10:00pm.
On arrival police located 18-year-old Khaled Mouloudj unconscious on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police said the victim was shot by a person in a vehicle that fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Update Jean-Sébastien Caron, the head of the SPVM’s major crimes unit announced on April 26th that police are speaking to eight suspects, who belong to a gang. Police believe a gang conflict was the motive in the drive-by shooting that killed Mouloudj.
