The 2024 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

On July 6, 2024, police responded to 1452 Upper James Street for a report of a deceased person at an abandoned house with a large field behind it. According to police, a number of people were living in and around the vicinity. 

Upon arrival, Police located the body of Adam Parrish outside under a piece of plywood. An autopsy was completed, and Police said the preliminary findings raised the possibility that the death may be suspicious.

Hamilton Police announced on July 14th 2025, that they recently received the full autopsy report, which confirmed Adam did not die from natural causes.

As a result, Police have arrested 39-year-old Brent LeFrancois of Hamilton and charged him with Second Degree Murder and Indignity to a Body
