Teulon Shooting Leaves One Dead; Suspect in Custody After Pursuit

Stonewall RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a home on 7th Avenue SE in Teulon, Manitoba on July 13, 2025, at around 10:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located a 37-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital but sadly did not survive. His death is now being treated as a homicide.

While officers were still on the scene, another RCMP officer spotted a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. When a traffic stop was attempted, the suspect fled, leading police on a pursuit that ended when the vehicle drove into a nearby cornfield. The area was quickly secured, and with support from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, the suspect, who was the only person in the vehicle, was arrested without further incident. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

The 24-year-old male suspect remains in custody. Police have confirmed they are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.
