Update: Charles Olivier Boucher-Savard who has ties to the Hells Angels fatally shot in Montreal’s 35th homicide of 2021

Montreal police responded to the report of the sound of gunshots on des Érables Avenue, near Sherbrooke Street on December 22nd at 9:50pm.

Police located the victim who had been shot multiple times near Lafontaine Park. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

According to the Montreal Gazette the victim has been identified as Charles Olivier Boucher-Savard, 33, who is tied to Hells Angels, recently released from federal penitentiary after serving two-thirds of his sentence for stabbing a person tied to the Luppino family, a Mafia clan based in Hamilton, Ont., in April 2018.

Update: After nearly two years on the run, Pierry Philogène was arrested in Surrey, B.C., just outside Vancouver, after a public tip to Metro Vancouver Transit Police.

Philogène had been on Canada’s 25 Most Wanted list for his alleged role in the premeditated killing of Charles‑Olivier Boucher Savard. He is accused of first-degree murder and is expected to be transferred to Montreal.

In June, police arrested alleged Mafia leader Leonardo Rizzuto and 10 others across Montreal and Laval, involving more than 100 officers.
