Toronto police responded to a call to a shooting in the Dufferin Street and Glencairn Avenue area on September 16th at approximately 6:42pm.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene to find Vito Lapolla, 72, of Toronto, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Lapolla was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said the suspect fled the area in a white SUV, last seen traveling northbound on Dufferin Street. The suspect is described as male, around 5’10” or 5’11”, thin build and dressed all in black with a hooded sweater.
