Toronto police responded to a call for a stabbing in the Dufferin Street and Rowan Avenue area on May 26, 2023, at 10:20 p.m.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Marvin Leon Matthew, 37, suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Saturday, May 27, 2023, Shaquille Chalmers, 30, of Toronto, turned himself into police. He was arrested and charged with:
- First Degree Murder
