Calgary Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in the 1100 block of Cornerstone Boulevard N.E.

Officers were called to the area at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2026, following reports of gunshots. When police arrived, they found a man deceased at the scene.

Following an autopsy conducted Sept. 1 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, authorities identified the victim as 25-year-old Harjas Ahluwalia. The death has officially been classified as a homicide.

Police say no arrests have been made so far. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, and the investigation is continuing.
