Homicide Investigation Underway After Body Found in Burned Vehicle in Mississippi Mills Ontario

Police and firefighters were called to a vehicle fire in a wooded area near Ramsay Concession 12, in Mississippi Mills, shortly before 5:15 p.m. Friday. Once at the scene, officers located a deceased person inside the burned-out vehicle.

On Tuesday, the OPP identified the victim as 37-year-old Colin Campbell of Mississippi Mills. Investigators have determined that Campbell’s death was a homicide.

No arrests have been made at this time.

According to police, preliminary findings indicate the incident appears to have been isolated, with no evidence of a wider public threat. Investigators say they are continuing to work on the case and are monitoring the situation.
