Thunder bay police were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Victoria Avenue West at approx 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday January. 1st on report of an altercation. 

Police arrived to find an 11-year-old and 59-year-old Thunder Bay man, both suffering from injuries. Both victims were rushed to hospital where the boy was pronounced deceased.

The mother of the victim Courtney Marie LABELLE, 34, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Second-Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.
