Toronto police responded to a call to the sound of shots fired in the Oak Street and River Street area on January 1st at approximately 10:30pm. 

It has been reported that two men were shot at by suspects in a dark coloured car. Both men were rushed to hospital where 21-year-old Ahmed Yakot, 21, died of his injuries on January 2nd. 

Anyone with information in particular, anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage, around the time of the incident is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400.
