York Regional Police responded to a call for unknown trouble at a residence on Bond Crescent on February 24th at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Police arrived to find a 41-year-old female suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 49-year-old man was arrested and was taken to hospital with injuries. He has been charged with First Degree Murder. Police will not be releasing the identities of the victim or the suspect in order to protect the identities of the children.

Police said the couple’s four children, between the ages of nine and 19, were in the home at the time of the incident but they were not physically injured.
