Regina police investigate the city’s first homicide of the year

Regina police were responded to a residence in the Washington Park neighborhood on the report of an injured man who was the victim of an apparent overdose on February 4th at approximately 11:55am.

Police and paramedics arrived and treated 36-year-old Patrick BADGER of Regina who died of his injuries at approximately 12:00pm. Next of kin have been notified.

Update July 7th
As a result of the investigation by the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, two adult males have been charged.

Forty-six year-old Peter Anthony SHEEPSKIN, of Regina, has been charged with:

  • Second Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)]

Twenty-five year-old Darien TOTO, of Regina, has been charged with:

  • Second Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)]

SHEEPSKIN and TOTO each made their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning (July 7, 2023) at 9:30 a.m.
