90-year-old Marlene Wilson was located deceased inside her home at  224 Mechanic Street West in Waterford on February 12th.

A bloodied kitchen knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was discovered under Jordaine Wilson’s bed, and his DNA was found on the handle.

An autopsy was completed on February 14th and the Police ruled her death a homicide.

At the time, her grandson, Jordaine Anthony Lewis Wilson, 34, of Norfolk, was charged with first-degree murder.

Update September 2025:  Jordaine Wilson has been found not guilty. According to reports, the jury took approximately eight hours to reach a verdict, ultimately deciding that 36-year-old Wilson was not responsible for the death of his grandmother, Marlene Wilson, who had been stabbed three times.

The case of Marlene Wilson is officially unsolved and remains a cold case.
