RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the Niskaview area of Norway House Cree Nation on July 14th at approximately 11:45pm.

Police located an 18-year-old male from the community suffering from stabbing injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. A 17-year-old male from the community, also arrived at the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators believe the 17-year-old was involved in an altercation with the same suspects when he was stabbed.

Update, On July 18th RCMP Major Crime Services arrested and charged two male youths ages 16 and 17, with Second Degree Murder.
