Calgary police were called to the 400 block of 6 Avenue S.E., for a report of a man in medical distress on the sidewalk on October 25th at approximately 1:20am.

Police located David Kendall WILLIAMS, 27, suffering from serious injuries. Williams was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

As a result of the investigation Raven BIG SORREL HORSE, 22, of Calgary, was arrested and has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the fatal assault. BIG SORREL HORSE is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 3, 2022.

The death of Williamson is the city’s 23rd homicide of the year.
