Princeton RCMP responded to a suspicious death on a property just outside the community June 15, 2024.

Investigators believe the man’s death was the result of foul play, the Southeast District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation, said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, NCO i/c of the Southeast District MCU. Investigators believe this incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public.

As the investigation is in its early stages, investigators are not releasing further details, including further details about the deceased.

Update:  The victim, identified as 51-year-old Donald (Donnie) Lyons. According to reports Lyons was known to police for his association with the criminal organization the Independent Soldiers.
