The Manitoba 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

Thompson RCMP received a report of a stabbing on Waterloo Avenue on July 12th, at approximately 8:00 pm.

On arrival, emergency crews located a 60-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Peter Lysohirka, 44, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. Police said while in custody, Lysohirka assaulted a police officer in the cell area and has been charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer.
