London Police responded to the area of Wharncliffe Road North and Western Road in relation to a medical emergency At approximately 12:00 a.m. on June 22nd.

on arrival a female was located with life-threatening injuries and transported to hospital by paramedic services where she was pronounced deceased. She has been identified as 62-year-old Cheryl Sheldon, of London.

George Kenneth Curtis, 44, of London, has been charged with second-degree murder. Police said The victim and accused were known to each other. The accused remains in custody, pending a court appearance set for Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
