Calgary police were called to the report of a shooting in the 1200 block of 17 Street S.W. on January 6th at around 3:20pm.

On arrival police located 36-year-old Eric Riendeau in a back alley suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Despite life saving efforts by paramedics, the victim was pronounced at the scene.

Investigators are searching for a suspect vehicle described as a small black or dark grey SUV, that may have frequented the area. Anyone with information about this incident, or the suspect vehicle, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
