Airdrie Rural RCMP responded to the report of a suspicious death in the area of Range Road 284 and Township Road 264, in Rocky View County on June 9th at approximately 8:32 a.m.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit took carriage of the investigation, and an autopsy completed on June 13th determined the death was a homicide. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jaiteg Singh Waraich, who Police say last lived in the San Francisco Bay area in California in fall 2022.
