Update: Two men charged RCMP investigates the homicide of Jacob Wright in Dieppe

Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report that a man had been shot at a residence on Louis Street, in Dieppe on June 25th at approximately 10 p.m.

On arrival police and paramedics located a 26-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim was later identified as Jacob Wright.

“Police believe this incident to have been targeted, and the man’s death is now being investigated as a homicide,” says Cpl. Stephane Esculier with the New Brunswick RCMP. “This is also believed to be an isolated incident.”

Update: On June 27, Brandon Patrick LeBlanc appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with first degree murder. He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on July 11.

On July 5, at approximately 12:20 p.m., as part of the ongoing investigation, members of the New Brunswick RCMP Major Crime Unit arrested a 41-year-old man from Saint John.

On July 6, Adam Robichaud appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand, and was charged with first degree murder. He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on July 13 at 9:30 a.m.

On July 20, Kyle Smith-Kingsley was charged with first degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on July 21 at 11 a.m.
