Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a body found in the Clinton Ave access parking lot of Clearbrook Park on July 5th at approximately 5:09am.

Police located 44-year old Christopher Hood deceased. Police said foul play is suspected, motive and cause of death are unknown.

The investigation has now been transitioned to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. The IHIT said they have determined that the homicide was not related to gang conflict. Early information indicates it was an isolated incident and not random.

Update, on August 13th, 21-year old Kevin Wesley, of Abbotsford, BC, was arrested by IHIT, and charged with first degree murder.
