Longueuil police (SPAL) responded to a 911 call at around 6 a.m., on March 20th on de Bresolettes Street in Boucherville.

On arrival police located a 24-year-old man who had sustained serious lacerations to his upper body. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead on Thursday afternoon.

Along with SPAL investigators, a variety of specialized teams, including a dog handler and the Forensic Identification Section, are actively working on the case.

A 21-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder on March 21st.
