Saskatchewan RCMP investigate a suspicious death of Drew Jack on Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation

On March 21, 2025, shortly before 3 a.m., the File Hills First Nations Police Service responded to a report of a sudden death on Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation. After further investigation, authorities determined the death was suspicious, leading the Saskatchewan RCMP to take over the case.

Update: Following an ongoing investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, along with support from various RCMP teams and the Regina Police Service, a teenager from Regina has been arrested. The teen faces a manslaughter charge under Section 236(a) of the Criminal Code in connection with the death of 31-year-old Drew Jack from Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation.
