Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

Manitoba RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 72-year-old man who died outside the Lynn Lake RCMP detachment on Sunday morning.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on September 20, a cell guard alerted officers that a man was lying on the ground outside the detachment. Officers responded and found the man suffering from serious injuries.

Police immediately began providing first aid and requested emergency medical assistance. Despite those efforts, the man died at the scene and was pronounced deceased.

According to police, the man had left his residence and travelled to the RCMP detachment after reportedly being assaulted. He died shortly after arriving on the property.

The Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services has taken over the investigation. Members of the Lynn Lake RCMP, Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services remain involved in the ongoing investigation.
