Two people have died following a shooting in Scarborough on Monday afternoon, according to Toronto police.

Police were called shortly after 12:30 p.m. after reports of a shooting near Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East. Officers arrived to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds outside Providence Healthcare.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victims are man and woman in their 70s, who were believed to be married.

A firearm was located at the scene.

Investigators have not released descriptions of any possible suspects at this time. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and police are expected to provide further details as the investigation continues.
