Steinbach RCMP received a report of a deceased male inside a residence on Whitby Crescent on July 29th at approximately 3:00pm.

On arrival police located a deceased 69-year-old male, and determined his death to be a homicide.

Police arrested a 34-year-old  woman for the homicide, and she remains in police custody. The deceased and the accused were known to each other.

RCMP Major Crime Services has taken carriage of the ongoing investigation. RCMP Forensic Identification Section is assisting.
