The 2022 Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Edmonton police responded to the report of an injured male at the Edmonton Institution on July 27th at approximately 5:40pm.

On arrival police located 33-year-old Bretton Fisher with life-threatening injuries. Fisher was treated on scene by paramedics, but succumbed to his injuries.

An autopsy was conducted on July 29th revealing the cause of death to be a stab wound.

Update:
Edmonton police announced that Cody Nicholls, 23, Brandon Newman, 21 and Dakota Cappo, 29 are all facing first-degree murder charges.
