York Regional Police responded to a residence on North Park Road in the City of Vaughan on the report that a man found his girlfriend not breathing on May 6th at approximately 8:00am.

On arrival police located a deceased 19-year-old female at the scene. York Region police announced on October 20th that a post-mortem examination conducted by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service determined the death was a homicide.

On October 13, 2021, officers arrested Raphael BANON, 20, of the City of Vaughan and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
