Wyne Zablan has been charged with First Degree Murder after a body was found near Shelter Bay Marina

West Kelowna RCMP received a report of a body in the water at the West end of the William Bennett Bridge near Shelter Bay Marina on July 29th at approximately 1:15pm.

On arrival police located a deceased man in the shallow water. The deceased male has be described as:

• Asian ethnicity
• 20-40-years old
• Average height
• Slim build
• The male was wearing a black collared shirt and black pants.

Police have now positively identified the victim, however, his identity will not be released until his next of kin is notified.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 25-year-old Wyne Zablan, and charged him with First-degree murder. Police said Zablan and the victim were known to each other.
