The 2026 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here

Toronto police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the Steeles Avenue West and Hilda Avenue area that has now been classified as a homicide.

Emergency crews were called to the area at approximately 8:27 p.m. on September 26th, following reports of a stabbing. Officers located an adult male victim, in his 50s, suffering from stab wounds, and one person was arrested at the scene.

Shortly afterward, police confirmed that the victim had died from his injuries. The investigation has since been transferred to the Toronto Police Service Homicide and Missing Persons Unit.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing or identified the victim. Investigators are expected to provide additional information as the investigation continues.
