Toronto police responded to the report of a stabbing at Hicks Adams LLP (238 King Street East) on September 2nd at approximately 1:52 pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located the company’s receptionist, 29-year-old Julia Ferguson suffering a stab wound to the chest resulting in a puncture wound to her heart. She was rushed to hospital via an emergency run where she succumbed to her injuries on September 5th.

Osman Osman, 33, of Toronto, surrendered to police after the stabbing. He was charged with Second Degree Murder.

Police said these charges are expected to be upgraded.

A Gofundme page has been created to help Julia’s family with funeral expenses.

Detective Sgt. Tiffany Castell said “The business, the law office, was targeted, but I can’t get into anything more specific than that”.

Update: On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Osman Osman appeared in court at College Park, and his charges have been further upgraded to:
