Update: victim identified – Toronto Homicide #35 – Police investigate the homicide of a person found in an Upper Beaches alleyway

Toronto police and paramedics were called to the report of an injured person at 1910 Gerrard St E on July 7th at approximately 8:00pm.

On arrival police located the body of a person with gunshot injuries down an alleyway. Const. David Hopkinson said at first they believed that the circumstances of the death were suspicious, however, they can now confirm the death was a homicide.

Update July 10th
The victim has been identified as Megan Elizabeth Crant, 32 pictured below.

As a result of the investigation, two arrest warrants have been sought for:

  1. Nicholas Hirsch, 25, of Toronto. He is wanted for First Degree Murder
  2. Chelsey Mais, 29, of Toronto. She is wanted for Accessory after the Fact to Murder

They are both considered to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach and call 9-1-1.

Update: On July 16, 2022, at 12:38 a.m., Nicholas Hirsch, 26, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with First Degree Murder.
