Update: Teen arrested in Vaughan – Toronto Homicide #36 – Police investigate the fatal stabbing of a person in a plaza parking lot

Toronto police responded to a report of a stabbing at a plaza in the area of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West on July 8th at approximately 12:45am.

The victim was located suffering from obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced at the scene. According to reports patrons from the lounge party became involved in a verbal altercation in an adjacent parking lot to the lounge, which escalated and resulted in the stabbing.

Police have not released the victim’s identity, and no arrests have been made. Information will be added as it becomes available.

Update July 10th
TPS has identified the victim as Auptin Abedini-Senoubari, 18, of Richmond Hill.

Update:
On Saturday, July 23rd Toronto Police Homicide investigators, with the assistance of the Emergency Task Force, executed a search warrant on a home in Vaughan where they arrested a 17-year-old male. He has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the homicide of Auptin Abedini-Senoubari.
