Toronto police said Farook Alihai, 65, was assaulted in an apartment building on Sunday, March 29, in the area of Progress Avenue and Markham Road.
Alihai was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury, where he dies on April 5th.
Nathaniel Ottley, 36, of Toronto, has been charged with manslaughter. Police are asking anyone with security and dash-cam footage, to immediately contact police at 416-808-7400, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS.
