Toronto police responded to a call in the Victoria Street and Dundas Street East area on May 12th at approximately 1:49 p.m.
On arrival police located Richard Sasaki, 40, of Toronto, with critical injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Through the investigation, police learned there was an altercation between two men, and the suspect fled the area on foot. Police said the suspect may have been in the area for some time prior to the altercation and may have been interacting with others in the area during that time. The suspect is described as having a light brown complexion, in his late 20s, 5’10”, with long black hair and black facial hair, and wearing dark clothing.

The suspect has been identified as Danyal Khan, 29, of no fixed address, Pictured Below.
He is wanted for:
- Second-degree Murder
The suspect may have been in the area for some time prior to the altercation and may have been interacting with others in the area during that time

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., Danyal Khan, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested. He is charged with:
- Second-degree Murder
