The 2023 Surrey Homicide victim list is available here

Police said Shawn Clarke, 49, of Surrey was reported missing on May 1st after last being seen on April 18th, near 99 Avenue and 154 Street.

The victim’s body was located in an alley on May 10th near 99 Avenue and 154 Street. IHIT Sgt. Timothy Pierotti said “We are still in the early stages of our investigation. We’ll be working with the Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit and their Missing Person Unit to advance what’s now become a homicide investigation. From the information we have gathered so far, this does not appear to be connected to the B.C. Gang Conflict.”

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about Clarke or the death is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).
