Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North and officers from the Ahtahkakoop RCMP Detachment responded to report of a suspicious sudden death at a rural property approximately 32 kilometres north of Shellbrook, SK, along Highway 240 on October 15th.

Police said the victim has been identified as 48-year-old Bradley John Schmalz, of the RM of Shellbrook. His death is being investigated as a homicide that investigators believe to have occurred sometime between Monday, October 12 and Thursday, October 15,. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Anyone with information concerning this investigation, including anyone who may have been in contact with Bradley John Schmalz leading up to October 12 through 15, to contact the Ahtahkakoop RCMP at 306-747-2606.
