Ontario Provincial Police have identified Eddie Alobhouet, 19, and Tristan Simard, 18, both from Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, as the two men killed during an attempted home invasion in South Glengarry Township on Feb. 2, 2025.

Police say three people attempted to enter a home on Old Highway 2 around 9 p.m. Two were shot after being confronted inside, while the third person fled and remains unidentified. The incident is believed to have been targeted, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The two homeowners were not injured. They were initially arrested but have since been released unconditionally. Police also seized several items, including firearms, from the residence.
