Update: Suspect turns himself in to police – NWT Police request public assistance to locate Ahmed “Scotty” Mohamed who is wanted for murder

Northwest territories RCMP have issued a warrant for arrest of 21-year-old Ahmed “Scotty” Mohamed for Murder and Assault Causing Bodily Harm, in relation to an October 31’s suspicious death, that has now been deemed a homicide.

The cause of death and victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

Police believe Ahmed Mohamed is in the Yellowknife area and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him. He is described as a black male, 170 cm/ 5’7″, 50 kg/110 pounds with black curly hair, which may be braided, and brown eyes.

Update June 29th 2021
On Saturday June 26thm at approximately 10 a.m., police said, Mohamed turned himself in at the Yellowknife detachment where he was charged with murder and assault causing bodily harm in connection to the 2020 homicide of a 29-year-old woman.
