Chantelle Firingstoney found murdered in Ponoka Alberta

Ponoka RCMP and EMS responded to a report of an injured female at a residential complex in Ponoka on November 5th at approximately 9:25 am.

Police arrived to find 26-year-old Chantelle Firingstoney deceased. An autopsy was conducted, and revealed the manner of death to be a homicide. Cause of death has not been released.

Ryan Applegarth (28) of Ponoka was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in Ponoka Provincial Court on November 13th.

Update November 9th
Ryan Jake Applegarth was arrested earlier in the year after police charged him with first-degree murder in the death of Jamison Samuel Louis, 34, in Wetaskiwin on January 3rd. A warrant had been placed for his arrest on January 28th.
