Burnaby police responded to the report of gunshots and cries for help in the 6200-block of McKee Street on February 11th at approximately 10:00pm.

Police located 44-year-old Neal Pratap suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital were he died of his injuries. Sgt. Frank Jang said “There’s nothing that jumps out at us as being gang related … it’s too early to tell, but we’re working on it,”

Police believe the victim met with someone in the area before being shot at, and that the shooting was targeted. Anyone with information about who Neal Pratap was meeting with or have any other info, please give us a call at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).
