18-year-old Jace Jordan Charles charged with murder in relation to the disappearance of Diyana Mohamed in Fort McMurray

 24-year-old Diyana Adil Mohamed was last seen in the in the Gregoire area of Fort McMurray on January 25th and was reported missing on January 27th.

Alberta RCMP’s Major Crimes South Unit was deployed to Fort McMurray and took carraige of the investigation. RCMP said “As a result of this investigation, Diyana Mohamed is believed to be a victim of homicide.”

On February 3rd Jace Jordan Charles, 18, was arrested in Fort McMurray, and charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a body in relation to the death of Diyana Mohamed, 24. The victim and the accused were known to each other.

 RCMP continues to search for Diyana Mohamed’s remains, and is requesting the public’s assistance for any additional information, surveillance or dash camera footage of the accused or the victim’s vehicle between Jan. 25, from 5:30 a.m. to Jan. 27, at 9 p.m.

Police say Diyana Mohamed’s vehicle is believed to have been used during the above noted time frame. Her vehicle is described as:

  • 2011 BMW 323i series
  • Grey, also viewed as Silver
  • Alberta license plate #: CHL 5023
  •  Front grill missing and damage to rear driver’s side tail light
