Montreal police responded to the report of a shooting at the intersection of ​​Saint-Pierre Avenue and Richmond Street on June 6th at approximately 11:00pm.

Police arrived to find a 34-year-old man suffering from gunshot injuries to the upper body. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the victim was known to authorities and the investigation is ongoing.
