80-year-old, Theodoros Lakis Debeyiostis was found seriously injured at approximately 10:00am on August 6th in a building on Benny Ave. The injured senior was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries on August 7th.
The investigation lead police to a building in Ahuntsic, on Henri-Bourassa Blvd on August 7th where a building in Ahuntsic, located on Henri-Bourassa Blvd where police located 68-year-old Pierre Phaneuf deceased. Police said the victim had suffered head trauma.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
Update August 10th
Montreal Police are searching for Claude Charbonneau, 61, who has been named as an important witness in two homicides. Charbonneau has grey hair and blue eyes and is around 5’3″. He could be traveling in a 2006 Dodge Caravan with a license plate reading N85 RQY.
Update August 21st
Claude Charbonneau was arrested by Trois-Rivières police on August 19th. Charbonneau is facing charges in connection with the deaths of an 80-year-old Theodoros Lakis Debeyiostis in NDG and a 68-year-old Pierre Phaneuf in Ahunstic.
